Product Description
Heavy-duty compression performance for utility, electrical and industrial crews working with large underground conductors and high-tension connections. This remote C-head crimper produces 15 tons of force to compress connectors, sleeves, and terminals on conductors that demand higher tonnage than typical handheld crimp tools can deliver. With a 2″ jaw opening, the tool accommodates large die sets and oversized components for utility cable splices up to approximately 1500 MCM copper and 1250 MCM aluminum when matched with the appropriate dies. Designed for use with any 10,000 psi hydraulic pump, the EP-610H integrates seamlessly into existing hydraulic systems — providing consistent pressure, extended duty cycles, and reliable compression performance without the downtime associated with battery charging. Its compatibility with Huskie HT61 series and Burndy “P†type dies and optional adapters expands versatility across die families. A sturdy carrying case and 3/8″ male screw-type coupler come standard for ease of transport and hookup.
Features
- 15-Ton Hydraulic Compression Force provides robust pressure for secure connections on large lugs, sleeves, and terminals that exceed the capabilities of smaller handheld crimp tools — ideal for underground and industrial conductor work.
- Generous 2″ Jaw Opening accommodates larger connectors and die sets with room to align and compress oversized components efficiently — reducing setup frustration and improving jobsite throughput.
- Broad Die Compatibility: Accepts Huskie HT61 series and Burndy “P†type dies, and with the optional PU-15 adapter can use “U†type dies — giving crews flexibility to match common die systems and expand tooling capability.
- Hydraulic Pump Integration (10,000 psi) : Operates from any standard 10,000 psi hydraulic source (pump not included), delivering consistent, continuous compression performance with fewer interruptions than battery-powered alternatives.
- Portable C-Frame Design with Carrying Case : Lightweight and compact for a hydraulic head of its class, and supplied with a rugged carrying case, the EP-610H is easy to transport between job sites while protecting the tool and accessory dies.
