This new JET GH-1440B Geared Head Bench Lathe is engineered for smooth, quiet operation and user versatility. Positioned on a heavy-duty cast iron stand with a newly added built-in footbrake, the GH-1440B includes precision induction hardened ground bed-ways, spindle roller bearings, and high-quality steel hardened gears in the headstock for ultimate working durability. The GH1440B also includes a patented electronic chuck key docking station that prevents startup without the chuck key when safely docked.
