The entire Powers Trak-It C5 gas fastening system (tools, fasteners, fuel cells, and accessories) was discontinued as of January 1, 2026, with a transition to the newer DEWALT Trak-It C6 system.
If you're using older C5 tools, note that the systems are not cross-compatible for fuel cells (C5 tools are discontinued and no longer supported). Consider upgrading to the C6 tool for continued use. For the latest availability or compatibility questions, contact DEWALT support or a local distributor.
⚠️ Important Compatibility Warning for C5 Tools
The C5 and C6 systems are not cross-compatible for fuel cells (or most other components). C5 fuel cells will not work in C6 tools, and C6 fuel cells will not work in older C5 tools. Since the full C5 system (including tools) has been discontinued and is no longer supported by DEWALT, users with existing C5 tools should plan to upgrade to the Trak-It C6 tool for continued operation. Attempting to use incompatible fuel cells can result in tool malfunctions, poor performance, or safety issues.

The Trak-It C5 gas fastening system was developed for use in light-duty applications, including attaching drywall track to concrete, lightweight concrete, block or steel. Also can be considered for fastening lath to concrete or block, furring strips to concrete or block, and plywood to concrete or block base materials. The system is designed for speed, efficiency and consistency. Operation of a gas fastening system does not require licensing. Stick-E assemblies are specially designed components for various fastening attachments into concrete, concrete masonry block and steel.
